Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics software company operating as an innovative new division within The Home Depot. Askuity’s mission is to enable suppliers and merchants at The Home Depot to make profitable, data-driven decisions and drive real-time retail execution.

As our UI/UX Manager, you will lead the UI/UX team and work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders to define requirements while being an advocate for the user experience.  You will be involved in a wide range of activities including coaching and mentoring UI/UX Designers, scoping project work for both business and technical aspects, and collaborating with cross functional teams within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the internal design & user experience function through knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring
  • Reduce friction and improve the path to product for our customers
  • Lead and facilitate design reviews and product showcases
  • Act as a subject matter expert on customer behaviour within the organization
  • Work closely with Product Leaders and other business leaders across the organization
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions
  • Design clear and creative artifacts (task flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes) to guide the members of your agile team
  • Onboard new analysts and provide ongoing training, support and mentorship while developing their skill set

Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of hands on UI/UX experience
  • 2+ years of leadership and people management experience
  • Proficiency with the following design tools: Adobe XD and Figma
  • Experience working on web-based and mobile products
  • Solid knowledge and experience with agile software development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders around the best practices and value of human user-centred design principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
