Scrum Master

Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics software company operating as a division within The Home Depot (THD). Our software powers THD’s supplier analytics program; whose mission is to enable merchants and suppliers to make profitable and data-driven decisions.

Askuity is seeking a Scrum Master eager to join our growing team. As a member of the Product Development team at Askuity, you will help drive the product development process of our industry-leading analytics platform. As our Scrum Master, you will facilitate the Agile process and ceremonies, and collaborate with Product Management, Development, and other stakeholders to ensure continuous delivery of the highest quality solutions to our customers.   • Facilitate Agile process and ceremonies
  • Lead and facilitate Scrum of Scrums
  • Work with Business Product Owners and IT Delivery Managers to ensure continuous delivery of working software that provides the highest value for the business every sprint
  • Observe and understand factors that impact team performance and Velocity with the goal of continuously improving and applying learnings to future sprints
  • Support and facilitate interaction with key members from other IT Teams
  • Identify and present metrics which Business and IT Stakeholders can best use for decision making where necessary
  • Attend and participate in THD Agile Community meetups to contribute and learn about potential improvements to our Agile best practices and delivery approach
  • Strive to keep your Team(s) motivated by encouraging open and honest communication and feedback

What you’ll bring:

  • 2 – 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) designation
  • Project, product, or technical leadership experience in a software development environment
  • Agile methodology expertise, and experience guiding teams on how to get the most out of self-organization
  • Experience facilitating collaborative group workshops and problem-solving sessions
  • Ability to coordinate and plan effectively with other IT Teams within an Enterprise
  • Experience using Agile Planning Tools (JIRA, Confluence, Kanban Boards)
  • Passion for communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with regularly changing priorities
  • Ability to respond to and champion challenges positively, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong independent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
