We are looking for a QA Data Analyst to support ongoing data-related operations. You will bring technology know-how, and a curiosity to continue learning. You will have strong attention to detail, and will understand the critical role that QA plays in ensuring the integrity of our clients’ data. As a QA Data Analyst you will be a core part of the Client Operations team, made up of highly motivated individuals who strive to increase efficiency, improve processes, and deliver excellence to our clients. Responsibilities:

 
  • Working closely with the Client Operations team to understand the objective of their changes to data or data-related tools, to ensure data is accurate and changes have been reflected appropriately
  • Designing and executing effective test plans to ensure consistent high quality data delivery
  • Documenting QA processes, including expectations for QA steps to be followed in other roles
  • Identifying opportunities to automate QA processes within the application and/or data operations
  • Effectively communicating product quality issues, and collaborating with software development to accelerate issue resolution
  • Reporting on project status and timelines to the Operations Director
  • Becoming a product expert with deep product and architecture knowledge

Qualifications:

 
  • Technical Undergraduate/Bachelors Degree in math, science or engineering
  • 1-3 years previous QA experience
  • Knowledge of databases, data structures, ETL, Excel and system integration (AWS knowledge a bonus)
  • Programming knowledge an asset (Python, Java, Scala, Elixir/Erlang)
  • Basic experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Broad understanding of technology, and good programming practices
  • Strong communication, project and organizational skills
  • Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and team player
