Askuity is growing quickly. We have some big brands to back us up, but we’re not even close to our full potential. It’s now time to go after the retailers directly in several key markets. What does that mean for you? In managing the full sales cycle, you’ll be expected to work directly with retailers whose vendor base currently uses Askuity (housewares, home improvement, cosmetics and automotive to start). The key objective of this role is to create several direct retailer partnerships by leveraging the success Askuity has had with their vendor base. You love learning, contributing, and you’re not afraid of failure. You’re a self-starter who embraces a challenge and wants to build something special.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Managing a complex sales cycle. You’ll be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders in developing a retailer education strategy. From there, the successful candidate will be responsible for initial prospecting of target retailer accounts all the way to managing an ongoing pipeline of senior-level merchandising, strategy, data analytics and IT executives. Expect to navigate enterprise level organizations with many moving pieces to the sales cycle. It doesn’t hurt that Askuity works with some of North America’s largest CPG companies (along with a clear ROI to support our business case).
  • Pain mapping. Keeping abreast of retail industry knowledge is key, but being well versed in discovery is an absolute necessity. You have thought-provoking conversations and you continuously offer broader perspective of what’s happening in the retail space.
  • Leading the Sale. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas: 1) understanding the various motivations within group-based decision making, 2) deriving and presenting a clear ROI to executive stakeholders, 3) leading seven figure negotiations, and 4) providing change management guidance to our new retail customers. Success in this role will come from being a valued partner to your retail customers who knows their business, understands their timelines and helps guide them on the path to becoming a valued partner.

Qualifications:

 
  • 8-10 years of previous enterprise sales experience (SaaS or Retail/CPG).
  • Post-secondary degree, MBA preferred.
  • Strong managerial skills.
  • You’re a self-starter and you have a strong sense of direction.
  • You see the value in owning your calendar (Gmail) and CRM (SF, Hubspot...).

Compensation & Benefits:

 
  • OTE ranges from $200-250K depending on your experience.
  • Eligible for participation in Employee Stock Option Plan
