We are looking for a driven and energetic self-stater to join our growing Business Development team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for connecting with Sales professionals and C-Level executives working in the consumer goods space, distributing products to major retailers across North America. Your goal is to identify and qualify organizations that would benefit from the Askuity platform, blueprint the organizational structure and connect with the right individuals at these companies.

The ideal candidate will see this role as an entry point to a career in Sales or Customer Success. You will be motivated to build pipeline for our growing business and will play a critical role in executing Askuity’s mission to be the industry’s leading retail sales enablement platform.


  • Identify potential outbound prospects and conduct outreach through a mix of cold calling, personalized emails & LinkedIn messages. Your goal is to qualify prospects, uncover their pains/opportunities and ultimately schedule a discovery call with a member of our Sales team.
  • Achieve monthly quota by finding Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) that have expressed interest in an initial discovery meeting.
  • Manage a pipeline of engaged prospects and nurture these relationships through value-added outreach.
  • Follow up with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) sourced by the Marketing team, which include individuals who have contacted Askuity directly through our website or those who have shown exceptional engagement with our Marketing content.
  • Provide feedback to the Marketing team to help improve the impact and effectiveness of our Marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to our messaging playbook, continually improving our email messaging and call scripts to maximize results.
  • Contribute to the organization’s technical, industry and market knowledge.


  • 1 - 2 years of sales experience in a quota-based environment. New grads are welcome to apply, however, you must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in Sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to speak confidently over the phone, making 30+ dials each day.
  • The ability to deal with objections and confidently respond with the appropriate response to maintain control of the conversation.
  • The desire to meet and exceed quantifiable performance goals.
  • A knack for solving problems, always finding a way to get the job done.
  • A self-starter/entrepreneurial attitude.
